He is co-founder of NEVEQ I and II, two institutional VC funds, backed by Europe’s most significant fund investors and family offices. Pavel backed over 30 startups and exited successfully 10 of them. He is a co-founder of Sofica Group, acquired by TeleTech. His corporate career was in finance, with Microsoft in Redmond and with Deutsche Bank in London and Sofia. Pavel graduated with honors from Northeastern University, studied French at the Sorbonne and neuroscience at Vrije University. He is a hacker by soul, has 3 advanced sports qualifications and admires Sadhguru.
Chris has 10 years in venture investing and 5 years in enterprise software sales at Oracle. His expertise includes SaaS growth, metrics, ratios, financing, benchmarks and sales.
Chris was an investor or long term advisor to companies like Pipedrive.com (where he brokered $10M Series A to Bessemer Venture Partners and co-invested with Paua Ventures); Hotjar.com (+$25M ARR and Lokalise.co (+$3M ARR). He has significant experience in cyber security, IoT platforms, and space tech. In 2018 he co-authored the venture capital chapter in the Space Tech study for the European Commission. From 2009 until 2014 he was an investment manager at Wellington Partners, a pan-European venture capital firm with $1B AuM. He has screened close to 10,000 business plans, met over 1,000 teams and led the due diligence process on +50 deals. Chris is a graduate of the MBA programme at INSEAD. He is based in Adelaide since 2019, where he completed the Company Director’s Course at AICD and the International Space University program.
With 20+ years of experience, Álvaro Millán is a seasoned finance practitioner who specializes in commercial and strategic finance. He holds a B.S. with Honors from ICADE (Madrid) & Northeastern University as well as a Masters in Finance from LBS (London). He started his career in asset management industry during the rise and burst of the dot-com bubble. Later, he joined the internet industry as a finance & strategy director for a leading e-tailer in Spain during a period of exponential growth and gained experience in the fields of data analysis, pricing and commercial strategy. A decade ago Álvaro joined a top 5 global media agency as finance leader of its agency network, involved in global client management, profitability analysis, performance measurement and resource allocation. He is focused on commercial finance and manages financial negotiations, revenue and risk assessment with key global clients as well as global new business activities for the group out of Madrid.
Joel has years of experience in investment management, managing both public and private securities on behalf of his clients. He spent many years working at Bank of America/ Merrill Lynch, where he managed wealth for HNW individuals. Joel obtained his bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University in Boston MA, graduating with honors in business with a concentration in investment management. He enjoys traveling, cooking, aerospace, and cars.
